The Work Has Begun

We are starting our renovation in the bedrooms. We decided to knockout all the bedrooms so we could have a little bit of normalcy while we tear apart the rest of the house. The first step was trying to strip the windows.

                         Bryson first attempt at stripping.
Like old chewing gum all over the place.

This did not go over so well. So we went for the alternative and just filled holes with plastic wood and sanded out the high spots.

So much easier.
We continued this process for the three bedrooms. Each room had the trim painted in Benjamin Moore- White Dove.

Love the windows!
Its definetly a boy's room.

The boy's room was painted in Benjamin Moore- Old Glory

Our bedroom is painted in Martha Stewart-Dolphin.

The teen room is opal by Behr.

After changing out all the ceiling fans, all that's left is crown moulding.

We got these beauties for 53 cents a foot! A fresh coat of White Dove and they are ready to go up. Once the moulding is up, we are moving out of the living room! Look for before and afters for the bedrooms very soon.
